Reading Assignments

Hi everyone,
I've gotten a few questions about the reading assignments and how much depth you all should be studying the information.
Good questions. I certainly expect you to read the information for much of it relates directly to your clinical experience in the future. Keep in mind that I am giving you information that will directly relate to patient care and the readings are to enforce the subject matter. I think we need to get into the semester a bit and you will feel the depth in which you are to study the chapter material. You will need to be familiar with the terminology from a chapter listed in the beginning and I would suggest posting when you each have questions about subject depth, I don't mind answering at all.

Your new power points are in your boxes! Have a great evening.
Mrs. Dryer

Thanks Tara! I looked at the ADHA site and found out several things like National DH month is Oct and they also offer scholarships. I also read the ethics and found it very supplemental to our code of ethics.

The clinic manual is a guide for you to follow the rules/regulations & grading system in our clinic. I will test you on clinic manual material on occasion, but will tell you in advance what specific section that will be.
Second year has their first day back in clinic after a long summer break! Keep them in your thoughts today!
We as a department and our SADHA (Student American Dental Hygiene Association) will be doing something to help the folks devastated by Katrina. I'll keep you posted. We are in touch with the Red Cross.
More info on SADHA & officer positions tomorrow at 12-
    Have a happy day!

Ms. Dryer, I am curious to find out what we can do as a group for the Katrina relief effort. I can't peal my eyes away from the news it's so devestating! Everyone else, I also could use some tips on organizing, I know there has to be a good organizational person amongst us all. I feel a little overwhelmed with all of the papers too.
