Hey Bethanie. I heard that they are housing refugees in McKinney, in the community center I think. I heard this from an Anna police officer, so I assume he knows what he is talking about. As far as volunteering, I'm sure they need help, but I haven't heard any specifics on that. Maybe you can get more info. Hope this helps you! See you Tuesday!

Hello- Shannon here. As N.O. "coordinator", I am not doing a very good job- thought we could brainstorm and I would get back to 2nd year Amy- I really believe we could serve the displaced persons best by taking them all the hygiene supplies, any baby paraphenalia, extra clothes and shoes (all sizes) medical equipment (I have a wheelchair) yadayadyada. What do yall think?

    Hi everyone,
I just received some information from St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, TX about the refugees from New Orleans. McKinney is now using the old Wal-Mart as a refugee camp and there is also another place in town as well. I talked it over with the secretary there, and she is going to give me a call this week about helping out there. She was very excited to know that we could volunteer out time to help the less fortunate. From what I was told, they need help and I told them that the dental hygiene students from Collin County Community College would love to help out.
